The Sweaties
A comedy award show created for SAPs Sales Kickoff Meeting
Client • SAPtype • lIVE EVENTFor SAP’s annual sales kickoff, the client wanted a fun, engaging way to energize both in-person and virtual audiences. Flying Monkeys Media proposed a comedy-style parody award show, and the concept was a hit. The event, dubbed 'The SAP Sweaties', celebrated sales achievements while communicating the company’s priorities for the year ahead.
We produced a 90-minute live keynote event in Las Vegas for approximately 3,000 attendees in person and over 10,000 online viewers. The production included concept creation, scriptwriting, casting, stage design and build, and full production management with a crew of 35. The show was hosted by the President of SAP, with comedic performances featuring actors and local Las Vegas-themed characters—like a playful “bogus Elvis”—to tie into the city’s energy.
Our creative team included two comedy writers: Adam Davis, known for TV and film comedy, and Bill Sheft, a veteran of the David Letterman Show and the Academy Awards. They helped craft witty, sharp, and engaging content that balanced humor with key sales messaging. Every element, from staging and lighting to scripting and live execution, was designed to entertain while reinforcing SAP’s corporate goals.
The result was an unforgettable kickoff event that blended corporate messaging with high-energy comedy, creating an experience that thrilled in-person attendees and virtual viewers alike. The SAP Sweaties demonstrated how a bold, creative approach can turn a traditional corporate meeting into a memorable, must-see production.
