SAP Reimagining Corporate Training Through Storytelling

SAP needed a compelling introduction to a mandatory employee training series—something that would capture attention, and motivate viewers to engage with the content that followed. Rather than a standard corporate video, they gave us the creative freedom to develop a comedic narrative designed to entertain first and educate second.

We brought on Adam Davis, veteran TV showrunner and writer, to script and direct the project. Production took place over several days on location in New York City, with scenes shot across city streets, subways, coffee shops, and a corporate plaza. A professional comedian was cast as the lead character, supported by a diverse ensemble of actors to bring the story to life.

To achieve the visual scope required, the project also involved extensive post-production, including visual effects to recreate SDOL imagery that could not be filmed in the subway environment, as well as logo integration added in post. The result was a cinematic, high-energy opener that transformed a required training into must-watch content—and significantly increased employee engagement from the first frame.
